Making G-Shock “COOL” AGain

CHALLENGE:
Reposition and refine the G-SHOCK social presence to more strategically connect with its core consumer audience. The previous approach attempted to speak to too many demographics simultaneously, resulting in a diluted brand narrative and limiting meaningful engagement with high-value consumers.

STRATEGY:
We led a comprehensive social refresh focused on audience prioritization, elevated creative direction, and a more cohesive brand voice across channels. By refining the visual identity, aligning content with key lifestyle and culture verticals, and implementing targeted paid amplification, we created a more focused and recognizable social ecosystem.

A key component of the strategy centered around developing a stronger visual storytelling framework through curated photography and original content production. We concepted and directed brand-aligned photoshoots that captured the rugged, fashion-forward, and culture-driven identity of G-SHOCK, ensuring every asset felt intentional, elevated, and platform-native. This approach allowed the brand to establish a more premium and cohesive visual language across social channels while creating a consistent stream of high-quality creative optimized for both organic and paid performance.

Strategic creator partnerships and consistently brand-forward content further strengthened authenticity, relevance, and audience connection.

RESULTS:
The refreshed social strategy successfully elevated G-SHOCK’s digital presence, driving stronger audience engagement, increased brand affinity, and new partnership opportunities. The redefined creative approach delivered measurable growth across both organic and paid performance metrics, reinforcing a more unified and impactful brand identity.

From October 1 – February 28, Paid Instagram Followers increased by 81%, alongside a 21% improvement in Cost per Follow efficiency ($68.33), demonstrating the effectiveness of the integrated organic and paid strategy.
